Banda Aceh, Indonesia — LaKaspia, a notable nonprofit organization, in partnership with Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP) Indonesia, successfully hosted a comprehensive workshop aimed at boosting program development and fundraising expertise among NGOs and community-based organizations. The event took place in the prestigious VIP Meeting Room of Sareng Coffee, Lueng Bata, Banda Aceh.
Facilitated by Aldrin, a Regional Program Development expert from NP, the workshop attracted twenty participants from various influential institutions across the region. Notable attendees included representatives from Country Manager NPID, Project Coordinator NPID, NGO-HAM Coalition, KontraS Aceh, Balai Syura Ureung Inong Aceh, Yayasan Bantuan Hukum Anak Peutuah Mandiri, Flower Aceh, Lembaga Meutuwah, Katahati Institute, Walhi Aceh, Solidaritas Perempuan Aceh, Forum Jurnalis Lingkungan Aceh, Forum LSM Aceh, The Leaders, MISPI Aceh, Aceh Independen, Women Volunteers for Aceh, and Rumoh Transparansi.
Throughout the day-long event, participants engaged in learning how to identify potential funding sources, build robust relationships with donors, create compelling programs, utilize social media effectively, and exchange valuable information with peer organizations. The workshop also provided an opportunity for extensive note-taking and documentation of the entire process.
Halik, the Executive Director of LaKaspia, expressed high hopes for the workshop’s impact, stating, “We are confident that this initiative will greatly enhance our partners’ abilities in program development and fundraising.
